Daily Report

Monday 08.04.2019

Each group travelled to Koblenz. Everyone arrived in the afternoon and then we met at the Altes Brauhaus restaurant.

This was the official start of Erasmus 2018-2020. After getting to know each other at dinner we went to our hotel rooms.

Tuesday 09.04.2019

The day started with breakfast around 7:45 am, then we went to the Romanticum to learn facts about Koblenz. The groups had a trip around the old town. After getting to know the history of the town and seeing some cultural sights, we had a lunch break in the Forum shopping center near the Romanticum. The day continued with a walk to the cable car station. We rode up to the fortress on the hill and during our ride we saw the city from a bird's eye view.

After that we met two British gentlemen who were our tour guides who showed us the fortress. After sightseeing the Germans invited some students to the ice-cream parlor (eGeloSia). We ended our second day in Koblenz with a dinner in an Italian restaurant called Adaccio.

Wednesday 10.04.2019

After breakfast everyone went to Julius-Wegeler High School in Koblenz. First we had a group photo taken and then we started working on the website. Each group had their own task to do. We had our lunch break in school, we tried a typical bread of the city with homemade jam. Then each school gave their presentation about their cities and schools. After that, we had free time and we went around the city with some students around the city. We had dinner at "Hans im Glück", the day finished with a nice ice cream at "eGelosia".

Thursday 11.04.2019

In the morning the focus was on the structure of our website. In the computer-labs of Julius-Wegeler-School we worked in groups creating the different sections of the website. As some of the students were not used to working with Apple Macintosh, we experienced some problems: e.g. we had to switch languages on the keyboard, exchanging files between programmes proved to be difficult and tricky.

In the afternoon we went to Cochem – a typical town at the river Mosel. We were supplied with lunchboxes, prepared by students of Julius-Wegeler-School. In Cochem we had a guided tour at the Reichsburg.

After our return to Koblenz we had a Farewell-Dinner at the Enchillada Restaurant.

Friday 12.04.2019

Unfortunately, we all had to get our flights back home, so this was the day of saying "Good-bye and see you in Rome!"

To be continued ...

MONDAY 18.11.2019

Each group travelled to Rome. Everyone arrived in the afternoon and then we met at the lobby of “The Strand” hotel. The Italians took us to a café and we got to know each other a bit. Later that day we met again at Dinner. “Le Streghe” is a very cozy place, it really spiked our new friendships. After returning to the hotel the first day was behind us.

This was the official start of Erasmus 2018-2020.

TUESDAY 19.11.2019

Waking up at 7, getting ready till 7:30, eating breakfast and leaving the hotel at 8:15. We went to the metro station and headed to Repubblica. With the help of a tourist guide we got to know the secrets of the Quirinal Palace. After seeing the Piazza Venezia we had some traditional food with our friends. FINALLY the time to see the Colosseum came! Our teachers shared some information of the construction and the Basilica we stumbled upon.  In the evening we went to have dinner at “Il Mattarello”.

WEDNESDAY 20.11.2019

After breakfast at 8:15 we went to Forum Romanum. Then we saw the Trevi Fountain which is the most popular fountain in Rome. After that we went to the Spanish stairs. Meanwhile we went to Lucio Lombardo Radice (the school of our Italian friends) for lunch, we had sandwiches, small burgers and mini pizzas + Fanta, Coke and water for drinks. After lunch we went to the computer class and started working on the Erasmus+ website for a few hours. When we finished working, we went by metro for dinner at “Meo Pinelli”. After dinner we returned to our hotel.

THURSDAY 21.11.2019

In the morning we had breakfast at the hotel and after that we got to see the Pantheon. Next, we saw Piazza Navona with the three beautiful fountains. When in Rome we of course couldn’t pass the chance of tasting some local ice-cream. Afterwards our destination point was the Castel Sant’Angelo.  Standing in a long queue in the pouring rain turns out to be totally worth it. Thanks to that we got to see the beautiful inside of the st. Peter’s church. Around 13:30 we again headed to the school and continued to work on the website articles. Then dinner at “Deus Pinsa” and out Thursday was complete.
