The Julius Wegeler Schule (BBS Koblenz) is a vocational school educating about 2800 students. We provide a wide range of different courses and degrees with a focus on social, health, media and gastronomy classes. Therefore, we have part-time students doing the school education of their apprenticeship (e. g. gardeners, bakers, hairdressers, painters, media designers) as well as full-time students (e. g. old people’s nurses, students doing degrees on many different levels up to the A-levels in our vocational “Gymnasium” and the BOS2). Yet, we provide many more opportunities.

In order to prepare our students for the requirements of globalisation and to fight the growing nationalism we are increasing our international contacts and cooperations. Part of this development is this project which will also strengthen the bonds to the participating schools.

Secondary Vocational School Hranice is a high school for 15 –19 years old students who have completed the compulsory education at primary schools (grades 1–9).

The school has a student population of about two hundred students and 21 teachers. The educational process is organised on the basis of a class system, all students in the same class having the same timetable. A considerable amount of classes (especially languages, computer classes etc.) are divided into smaller groups though. The school year consists of two semesters. Each semester students take a full-time load of courses. At the end of each semester students receive a mark upon completion of all requirements in each subject.

All students follow a common curriculum disregarding their specialization. Then, they opt to specialise in one of four streams: computer science, cyber security, tourism or security & law. All courses are accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, and qualify students for the state school leaving exam standard in their final year. The graduates are entitled to study at universities, or enter their professional career.

“Lucio Lombardo Radice” high school is a comprehensive institute (Istituto Tecnico Economico and Liceo Linguistico) which pays close attention to the learners and provides a quality learning environment. The didactic activity pursues the objective of quality and continuous improvement.

The school expands within the territory: events, conferences, meetings, educational training courses for students and adults are organised with the aim of creating a continuous and permanent education. The school participates in the ESABAC project and is accredited as a Cambridge International School and examination centre.

We believe that our students must be provided the capacity to take charge of their lives. We encourage across the board to educate aware responsible citizens who are capable of becoming active citizens who know their rights and duties and are directed towards a future of integration and living together.

The school consists of three different types of school: technical school, post-graduate school for adults and complementary technical school for adults. The students who take part in the Erasmus+ project attend the technical school. During four years of studies they gain theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of chosen kinds of education: economy, logistics, dvertising, graphic design and photography.

The process of education is finished with a final exam called matura and vocational exams. The staff take care their students are as much experienced as possible when they start their professional life.

The school organizes a lot of different projects, school trips and events. The students’ Interests and passions are

highly supported and extended with e.g. school choir or extracurricular activities.
